MBB Adds Five Players for 2018-19

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Mitchell College head coach Todd Peretz announced the latest additions to his men's basketball roster on Thursday afternoon.

Peretz will welcome five newcomers—Connel Henderson, Hunter Baillargeon, Tyler Cook, Tyler Peretz and Ivan Craig—to the program for the 2018-19 season. Henderson is a transfer from Manhattanville College while the other four players will be freshmen in the fall. The group will join nine returning letterwinners for Peretz's 20th season at the helm of the Mariners.

Connel Henderson
Height: 5-9
Position: Point Guard
Hometown: Old Saybrook, Conn.
High School: Old Saybrook
Previous School: Manhattanville College (2017-18)

Quoting Coach Peretz: "Connel will come in and make an immediate impact in our program. He's a player with a high basketball IQ who makes his teammates better."

Hunter Baillargeon
Height: 6-0
Position: Shooting Guard
Hometown: Norwich, Conn.
High School: Saint Bernard School

Quoting Coach Peretz: "Hunter is a very good shooter with a high basketball IQ. He needs to get stronger, but he's the type of player who will dedicate himself to getting better each day."

Tyler Cook
Height: 6-4
Position: Wing
Hometown: Port St. Lucie, Fla.
High School: Fort Pierce

Quoting Coach Peretz: "Tyler will make an impact in our program and continues in the long line of players from Port St. Lucie. He's a long, athletic wing player who possesses good perimeter skills. He needs to get stronger."

Tyler Peretz
Height: 5-10
Position: Shooting Guard
Hometown: Waterford, Conn.
High School: Waterford

Quoting Coach Peretz: "Tyler has a great work ethic and has the ability to shoot the ball. He'll need to adjust to the speed of the college game, but he's the type of player who will do what it takes to improve himself athletically and skill-set wise."

Ivan Craig
Height: 6-3
Position: Wing
Hometown: Waterbury, Conn.
High School: Crosby

Quoting Coach Peretz: "Ivan is a long, athletic, slashing type of player who is a welcomed addition. He needs to get stronger, and with continued skill development he'll be able to contribute."
