MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College senior Kyle Marsh was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's lacrosse, as announced by the league Monday morning.
Marsh tallied four goals and a pair of assists in a one-goal loss at Anna Maria last week that was decided in the final minute. After posting two goals and two assists in the opening half, he saved his best for late and scored twice with under five minutes to play in the contest. His final score of the day tied the game at 14-14 with 2:26 to go. He also caused three turnovers and scooped up two ground balls.
Marsh earned conference player of the week honors for the second time in his career. Through two games this season he has tallied a team-high eight points on six goals and two assists.
Mitchell (0-2 overall) will next play at Rivier University on Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m.
