Senior Ashley Murtha scored 32 goals in three conference games last week to pace the Mitchell women's lacrosse team. She tied a NCAA Division III single game record with a career-high 14 goals against Becker, and in the process she also netted her 200th career goal. She finished with 11 goals and 12 draw controls in a win over Newbury and added seven goals and five draw controls in a loss to Elms. For her efforts, Murtha was named NECC Player of the Week on Monday for the fourth time in her career and second time this season (April 3). She currently leads the nation in goals per game (7.43), a category she led as both a freshman in 2014 and a junior in 2016.
