Olivia DeCicco
Senior Olivia DeCicco (Haverhill, Mass.) delivered an outstanding all-around performance for Mitchell, excelling both at the plate and in the circle during a six-game stretch.
Offensively, DeCicco batted .556 (10-for-18) with three doubles, one home run, seven RBI, and three runs scored while posting an impressive .636 on-base percentage and .889 slugging percentage. She did not strike out in 22 plate appearances, consistently putting the ball in play and driving production in the middle of the lineup. In conference action, she elevated her performance even further, hitting .583 with a 1.000 slugging percentage and six RBI while reaching base at a .667 clip.
In the circle, she made four appearances, including four starts, and logged 22.2 innings with three complete games. In GNAC play, she posted a 1.79 ERA over 15.2 innings, allowing just four earned runs while striking out nine. In a weekend game against New England College, DeCicco also recorded the 100th strikeout of her Mitchell career.
Entering the new week, DeCicco ranks third in the conference with a 2.80 ERA and sits fifth in the GNAC with 72 strikeouts over 122.1 innings pitched. She also ranks among the top 10 in the conference in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage, while her 42 RBI are second-most in the GNAC and her 48 hits rank third.
