Men's Tennis Earns 3 Seed, Will Travel to Newbury
ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Mitchell College will be the third seed in the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Championship, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Regis College finished the regular season unbeaten and earned the top seed in the single elimination tournament. The Pride (13-5, 10-0 NECC) will host fourth-seeded Becker College (5-6, 4-6 NECC) in a semifinal match on Wednesday, April 23 at 4 p.m. Second-seeded Newbury College (11-4, 8-2 NECC) will host Mitchell (8-4, 6-4 NECC) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
The top four teams qualify for the NECC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
Semifinal games will be played on Wednesday, April 23 with winners meeting Saturday, April 26 at the highest remaining seed. Game times and dates are subject to change.
