Diaz Named NECC MTennis Player of the Week
ATTTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College sophomore Adam Diaz was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's tennis, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
Diaz picked up points at the top doubles and singles spots last week in Mitchell's NECC opener at
Lesley University. He teamed with Orson Sinclair to record an 8-2 victory at the top doubles spot before winning in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) at No. 1 singles.
Diaz earns NECC Player of the Week status for the first time in his career. He has won both of his singles matches this season without dropping a set and is also 1-0 in doubles play.
Mitchell (2-0, 1-0 NECC) will next host Becker College on Monday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m.
