Five Softball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Five members of the Mitchell College softball team were named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Softball Team, as announced recently by the organization.
Seniors Olivia DeCicco (Haverhill, Mass.) and Cassandra Roman (New London, Conn.), along with juniors Brooke Clancy (East Haven, Conn.), Madison Cole (Westbrook, ME), and Zoe Battersby (West Warwick, R.I.) were the players to earn Academic All-District Softball honors, as selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. For the sport of softball, a maximum of five nominations can be made for an All-District Team from each institution.
