Dates Announced for Mitchell Summer Baseball Camp
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Mitchell College head baseball coach Shawn Gilblair has announced the dates for the upcoming Mitchell Baseball Youth Camp for boys and girls ages 7–14.
The camp will be held at Alumni Field on the campus of Mitchell College and will take place July 27–30 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with drop-off beginning at 8:15 a.m. each morning. Campers will receive individual and group instruction from the Mitchell coaching staff, as well as current and former Mitchell baseball players.
The week will focus on skill development, fundamentals, competition, and fun for players of all ability levels. Morning sessions will emphasize individual skill work and fundamental instruction, while afternoons will feature organized games and competitive activities.
Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle each day. A concession stand will be available with snacks and drinks for purchase. Participants should wear athletic shoes or molded/rubber cleats and bring a hat, glove, bat, and either shorts or baseball pants.
The cost for the week is $225 and includes a camp T-shirt. Family discounts are available, with two campers attending for $400 and three campers attending for $525.
