Fellow senior Kenneth Miller Jr. (New London, Conn.) added a hit and two RBI, while junior Chas Terni Jr. (Montville, Conn.) also drove in a run.

On the mound, senior Dom Yarson (Ewing, N.J.) turned in a complete-game performance, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits while striking out nine. He limited Eastern Connecticut to just one run through the first eight innings to keep the Mariners comfortably in front.
Eastern Connecticut State finished with seven hits, with Ian Moser and Chad Byrd each recording an RBI. Eric Mathewson tossed 5.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
