NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's basketball team dropped a road decision to Warner University, 103–78, on Thursday in a non-conference showdown at the Turner Athletic Center.
The Mariners stayed within striking distance in the first half, trailing just 46–45 at the break, but Warner used a decisive second-half surge to pull away.

Sophomore Collin Jefferson (Orlando, Fla.) added 14 points off the bench, connecting on four three-pointers.
Warner was led by Josh Irwin's 24 points off the bench, while Bryson Castillo scored 15 points and Marcel Pace chipped in 13. Brodie Teke added 12 points as Warner shot 59.1 percent from the field and went 11-for-21 from beyond the arc, outscoring Mitchell 57–33 in the second half.
