Lee & Gardner Named to NABC Honors Court
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Mitchell College men's basketball seniors Brandon Lee (Stockton, Calif.) and Adam Gardner (North Charleston, S.C.) have been named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements throughout the academic year.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who completed the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
Lee and Gardner were two of more than 2,300 student-athletes from all levels of collegiate basketball to earn the distinction this year, highlighting their commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
"Success isn't measured only by points scored, but by dedication, discipline, and achievement beyond the court," said Mitchell head men's basketball coach Todd Peretz. "Congratulations to Brandon and Adam on being recognized for academic excellence by the NABC."
The NABC also recognized more than 400 programs with Team Academic Excellence Awards, which honor teams that posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
