NEW LONDON, CT, Sept. 10, 2008 - Mitchell College netted their season opener against Albertus Magnus College to post a 3 -0 (25 – 22, 33 -31, 25 – 14). Albertus Magnus is 0- 3 for the season. Mitchell College kept improving as the match went on as some fresh new talent lead by Brittany Zaccaria (White Plains, NY), Tameres Castro (Ansonial, CT) and Kimberly Campell (Springfield, MA).
Head Coach Niko Paul – "Stephanie Davis (Ledyard, CT) unleashed all her talents tonight with her serving, passing, and attacking with 20 service pts and 7 kills and 7 digs. Jen Bordonaro (Winsted, CT) racked up 17 assists and 13 sevice points. Sara Senetcen (Terryville, CT) middle blocker racked up 6 kills and 11 service points. I'm exicted about the heart this team has and they fought for every point. Great serving tonight and they nailed their passes tonight. Mitchell College is looking forward to playing home this Saturday against new conference rival Baypath College and Green Mountain at 11:00 a.m."
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Five members of the Mitchell College baseball team earned All-Region honors from D3baseball.com on Tuesday when the popular website released its All-Region teams spanning 10 different regions. The 2026 season marks the 14th year D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors, from which three teams in each region were selected.

WINTHROP, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Michael Ficocelli (North Providence, R.I.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Co-Player of the Year, while freshman Andrew Manzo (North Haven, Conn.) earned GNAC Rookie of the Year honors, as the league announced its end-of-season baseball awards on Monday afternoon. Additionally, the Mariners had a conference-high nine players selected to one of the three All-Conference Teams.
