NASHUA, N.H. – The Mitchell College women's volleyball team came up short in a 3-0 loss to Rivier University on Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at the Muldoon Center. The Mariners dropped set scores of 26-24, 25-11, and 25-18.
Sophomore outside hitter Genna Hyde (Cypress, TX) led Mitchell with 11 kills and 14 points, while freshman Cimber Jenkins (New Smyrna Beach, Fla.) chipped in seven kills. Sophomore Molly Wordell (East Haddam, Conn.) added seven kills and three digs for the Mariners.
The Mariners (5-5, 1-3 GNAC) will look to right the ship on Wednesday, September 24, when they return home to face Purchase College at 7:00 p.m.
