Wiley Nets NECC Weekly Honors
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College senior Amina Wiley was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of women's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
Wiley led all players with 23 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and three steals last week as the Mariners opened the 2021-22 season with a 22-point win over Wentworth Institute of Technology. She shot 59 percent from the floor and logged 32 minutes of action.
Wiley earned the honor for the first time this season and fifth time in her career. The two-time all-conference selection helped Mitchell win its season opener for the first time since 2006.
Mitchell (1-0 overall) will next host Dean College on Wednesday, November 10 at 5 p.m.
